Mustang on its way to Europe

Right-hand drive Mustang is on its way to Europe, here’s how much it will cost

From this year, Europe will be able to enjoy the ride of iconic American muscle car, Ford Mustang. European customers can find Mustangs across Europe directly from Ford rather than their importers. First model to come in Europe is 2015 Mustang with 2.3 litre Ford EcoBoost engine.

Ford will directly sell the pony cars in Europe through its overseas dealers, but the point is, how much should we pay for an American muscle in Europe? Data has been taken from the maniacs at Mustang 6G but keep in mind that they are using some heavy premiums compared to US prices.

Standard model of Ford Mustang is powered by a 2.3 litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine which is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It will be available for €34,000 however, the most powerful Mustang is offered with a 5.0 litre V8 engine and costs €5000 more than the standard version and will start at €39,000.

A convertible version will be available for an extra €4,000 but the gearbox option will remain same as six-speed manual. If you wish to have an automatic transmission, pay an extra €2000. It is the same for the both four and eight-cylinder engines.

All new Mustang is a genuine bargain if you compare it to any other Coupe or Sports car in the Europe. In the German market, BMW 4-Series starts at €36,050 while a base model 435i will set you back €48,100. There is nothing different in the case of Audi A5 or S5. They are equally pricey if you compare them to the Mustang.

Chevrolet Camaro as a rival to Mustang, is only available in the SS trim, which is available with 6.2 litre V8, starts from €39,990. You can compare it quite evenly with a 5.0 litre GT. Mustang is still a better choice for Europeans.
