SEMA will be witnessing the curtain raiser of one of the most powerful muscle cars ever made by Ford.

The all new King Cobra version of Ford Mustang is classic muscle car which is powered by a monstrous 616bhp engine. This special edition King Cobra is one of the fully customised muscle cars previewed at SEMA in Las Vegas.  King Cobra was a very famous name used by Shelby for racing back in 1978. Now it is the first time when Ford again using the same nameplate.

This 2015 King Cobra edition is generally based on a modified structure where a standard Mustang V8 engine has been used to crank out more than 600bhp. All the modification work has been done by the Ford Racing Division.

The Mustang V8 engine in the King Cobra is using supercharger with a drag pack for the chassis to boost the power delivery to 616bhp. It is not that easy to control the power delivery from this ragging monster, however, Ford has introduced a Handling Pack for the suspension system along with updated braking system.

It has a distinctive interior that appeals with special Recaro seats and short-throw gear lever. King Cobra clocks 10.9 seconds for a quarter mile when it runs at 128 miles per hour. There were several tuners invited to tune up the Mustang for SEMA show in Las Vegas. Other modified Mustangs included a gold themed version, modified and tuned by Galpin, and a light blue Mustang tuned up by Petty’s garage. Last one is planned to be auctioned for a charity.
