This statement has been made last week on the occasion of revealing the updated Mercedes A-Class, he further added that this 400bhp+ will be produced from an all-new four-cylinder engine.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Whats_wrong_with_the_current_engine\"><\/span>What\u2019s wrong with the current engine?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There is absolutely nothing wrong with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enginecompare.co.uk\/make?car=all-mercedes-engine&amp;make_id=50\" target=\"_blank\">current engine<\/a><\/strong> which churns out 355bhp, and keeping in view the current needs of the customers, Mercedes has recently put 21 more horses into an already potent turbocharged engine, reaching to 376bhp.<\/p>\n<p>In near future, Volkswagen is launching its super-quick Golf R 400, and in order to give it a tough time, extracting more horses from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enginecompare.co.uk\/blog\/5-5-litre-amg-v8-engines-will-die-soon\/\" target=\"_blank\">current engine is not possible<\/a><\/strong>, which ultimately lead Mercedes to come up with something even more, barbaric.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cant_they_just_tweak_the_engine_or_something\"><\/span>Can\u2019t they just tweak the engine or something?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Umm\u2026 yes! It is kind of possible for the company to do some magic on the engine, like for instance, rejigging the ECU or installing a bigger, mightier turbo perhaps, but according to Moers: \u201cIt is important for our customers to have the most powerful car in the segment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So instead of tweaking the engines, they went for complete engine redesign, and now they are offering the whole package.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_lap_time_does_it_have_on_it\"><\/span>What lap time does it have on it?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Sadly, the Nurburgring lap times have been banned by the management of the track for all manufacturers but Mercedes has its own ways to do things. So it has been hinted that it will take less than eight minutes to get round the 12.9-mile track with this all new A45.
