Why is that? Because the place you live in, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enginecompare.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">car you drive<\/a><\/strong>, how long you park for and how environment-friendly your vehicle is, every single one of these will determine the cost of the annual resident parking permit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Analysis_stated_Birmingham_and_Manchester_as_most_expensive\"><\/span>Analysis stated Birmingham and Manchester as most expensive<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.churchill.com\/car-insurance\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Churchill Car Insurance<\/strong><\/a>, an insurance group, stated in their analysis that Birmingham and Manchester have topped in most expensive cities in UK for resident parking permits with \u00a3750 per year.<\/p>\n<p>Second most expensive is the London Borough of Islington with \u00a3434.<\/p>\n<p>When you look across the localities for different pricing within a council district, \u00a392.72 is the average variation in parking permit cost.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_area_effects_the_prices\"><\/span>How area effects the prices?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Well, when you look at the property prices, like a 2-bed flat in the Birmingham city centre may cost somewhere between \u00a3160,000 and \u00a3230,000. The inhabitants will pay \u00a3750, but if they move to other areas, the price could drop down to \u00a3215.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, a 2-bed apartment in the London borough of Islington, ranging from \u00a32.8 million to \u00a3200,000, in such areas, the parking cost will be \u00a3434 if your car emits 256g\/km of CO2. From 15<sup>th<\/sup> June, this figure rises to \u00a3444, but if your car is green you don\u2019t have to worry a bit.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"CO2_emissions_also_effect_the_cost\"><\/span>CO2 emissions also effect the cost<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since 2014, the CO2 emissions for new cars have dropped down 24 per cent with 124.6g\/km on average, set a new record. So for cars with these average emissions, the inhabitants of Islington will pay only \u00a375.80 which is only 10 per cent of what Manchester charges.<\/p>\n<p>In the top ten most expensive permit areas, only four London boroughs are in it and the cheapest council is the South Ayrshire with only 50p a year for parking permits.
