The company unveiled the new range-topping version at the 2014 Geneva and Paris motor shows. At both shows, the car was referred to as \u2018Adam S\u2019 reflecting its sporty positioning.<\/p>\n<p>But now Vauxhall has changed its name and that the car will now be called <a title=\"Vauxhall Adam\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vauxhall.co.uk\/vehicles\/vauxhall-range\/cars\/adam\/overview.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Adam<\/strong><\/a> Grand Slam confirming the car\u2019s position at the top of the Adam range. Outside of the UK the car will continue to be referred to as Adam S.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019ll be powered by a turbocharged <a title=\"Compare Car Engines\" href=\"https:\/\/www.enginecompare.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>1.4-litre petrol engine<\/strong><\/a> pushing out 148bhp and 220Nm of torque, up 49bhp and 90Nm and helps the Adam Grand Slam see off 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds and hit a 124mph top speed. It\u2019s not all about performance, though. Vauxhall has attempted to boost efficiency by fitting stop-start tech and cutting as much weight as possible and claims 44.1mpg and 149g\/km of CO2.<\/p>\n<p>This features USB and Bluetooth connectivity, plus audio streaming, seven speakers, Siri Eyes Free voice control for Apple devices and a seven-inch colour touchscreen. Tinted LED daytime running lights and tail-lamps are also fitted as standard, as is electronic climate control and Vauxhall\u2019s IntelliLink infotainment system, which is fully compatible with the latest Android and Apple iOS smartphones.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a choice of 10 paint schemes and four roof colour combinations, including a \u2018Red \u2019n\u2019 Roll\u2019 design exclusive to the Adam Grand Slam.
