However, analysts expect Ford to beat Renault by the end of 2016 thanks to the launch of the Edge model as well as its smaller brother, EcoSport.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Megane_IV_Launched\"><\/span>Megane IV Launched<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The new Fiesta will be launched in late 2017 hence the model is not a threat to Renault\u2019s Clio, which has undergone a facelift. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enginecompare.co.uk\/model?car=new-renault-megane-engine&amp;model_id=862\"><strong>new Megane<\/strong><\/a> IV has just been launched and is expected to bring significant volumes.<\/p>\n<p>These figures by Renault don\u2019t include the results from Dacia brand also owned by the French corporation. The figures are separately registered in ACEA, European Automobile Manufacturers\u2019 Association which publishes sales results for every month in Europe.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"VW_Still_at_the_Top\"><\/span>VW Still at the Top<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>While Renault and Ford are fighting for the second place; VW holds the first position with almost 850,000 cars sold in Europe.
