In November 2014, UK sold a total of 137,347 units which represents a slight decrease over the month of October. These figures have been provided by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders also known as (SMMT). It has also been said that the total production of first 11 months of year 2014 stood at 1.42 million which is almost 0.3 percent less than the figures of same months in year 2013.
According to Mike Hawes, SMMT chief executive the major reasons behind shrinkage of car production numbers is the economic uncertainty in the export markets and the changes in the model. He further added that the auto industry is still standing tall and this decline in production will go away in the next year.
As UK automotive engineering is at a high level, the global demand is climbing considerably. This is also due to the significant investments and the production facilities are seeing the benefits of it.
